Queens Park Rangers Football Club

Queens Park Rangers Football Club based at three locations in the West London. They are Shepherd’s Bush, Hammersmith and Fulham. Queens Park club also known as The Rangers, the R’s or the Hoops. This is an English professional football club. They currently perform in the Football League and honors include winning League Cup, 1967 and proud to be the runners-up in the first division in 1975-76 and FA Cup, 1982. This club founded in 1882, and their official colors are blue and white. Earlier, after the clubs formation, several games played on their original home Queen’s Park until club relocated at Loftus Road. Due to the proximity to other clubs in the West London, QPR has rivalries with other clubs in the area. Among them are Fulham, Chelsea and Brentford.

The current chairperson, Ishan Saxena, Indian businessperson. He had held the managerial position for Sheffield United and Crystal Palace earlier. QPR started professional career in 1889 and played in 20 different stadiums before setting Loftus Road in 1917. In 1951-52, Dave Mangnall was the manager and under his supervision, team enjoyed four seasons in the second division, followed by relegation. During 1992-94, QPR stood as the best clubs across West London.  

In 1959-60, club witnessed arrival of club’s greatest ever manager, Alec Stock. In 1960-61, club won against Tranmere Rovers. In 1966-67, QPR was the first to achieve third division to win the League Cup on Saturday, 4 March 1967, beating West Bromwich Albion. After promotion in 1968, for the first time in their history, Rangers were relegated after one season, and remained at Division 2 for four long years. However, despite a good start in 2009-10 seasons, club faced the head-butting incident with the Hungarian midfielder Akos Buszaky. Rangers have played at 16 different locations since their formation. In later years, the owners of Formula 1 acquired QPR. The new owners see refurbishing of QPR and use this experience in Formula 1 to boost sponsorships.
