
Leyton Orient Football Club is a professional football club based in East London. At present, they play in League One of the football league. Also known O’s. Leyton Orient F.C has been successful to top in only season in 1962-63. Despite of immediate relegation, they have three memorable victories registered on their name against local rivals namely, West Ham, Eventual Champions and Manchester United. In 1974, they were the first to oppose Manchester United. In 1978, Orient succeeded in reaching the semi-finals of the FA Cup for the only time in their history under the Jimmy Bloomfield’s management. Between 1993 and 1995, Orient did not win a single game in the league. This terribly got them down in 1994-95, finishing at Division 2.
Leyton’s home ground is Brisbane Road located in Leyton, London Borough of Waltham Forest. Officially, this stadium is called Match room Stadium named after the club’s chairperson Barry Hearn. Hearn became the chairperson in 1995 when club was put on sale for mere five pounds by the then chairperson, Tony Wood after his coffee business saw crash. Geraint Williams was appointed as manager in 2009, February 5 succeeding Kevin Nugent who held temporary charge after sacking Martin Ling on 2009, January 18. Williams left on 2010, April 3 after the home defeat from Haterpool United. Then, Nugent held temporary charge for only one game after which Russell Slade was appointed as the manager until the end of that season and still holds the same.

In addition, club had several name changes. In 1886, Eagle Cricket Club and in 1888, Orient Football Club.
