Heathrow Airport

The Heathrow Airport is the fourth largest airport in the world. It’s located in central London and is meant for public use. The airport authority handles more international passengers than any other airport in the world. It’s the busiest airport in the European Union. The Airport is under the control of BAA, a Spanish company.

This Airport is also the major hub for not just British Airways, but also for Virgin Atlantic as well. The airport has two parallel runways spanning east to west along with four working terminals. The terminal 5 of this Airport was recently inaugurated by Queen Elizabeth II.

At present the Heathrow Airport is used by more than 90 airbuses to ply to more than 170 destinations. The most magnificent thing about this Airport is that it has Catholic, Free Church of Scotland and Hindu chaplains for the passengers. Every terminal has a multi faith room for the passengers travelling through this airport.

Furthermore, the Airport also has its own press corps that consisting six photographers along with 24 /7 TV crew. It also serves all the major newspapers and television channels to the tourists.
There are four major checks in points in the Airports. Those are Bovingdon, Surrey, Essex and Bromley and Ockham.

Taxis are always available at all the terminals of this Airport. Similarly one can also hire cars as they have a drop and pick up facility from all the terminals of the airport.

For a cheaper transport facility, one can also hire bicycles at a very cheap rate. Pedestrian can also access small tunnels to reach anywhere of this huge airport. Heathrow Airport is the swankiest Airport in the world.
